How It Works
All of the links on this site are real time streams direct from receive only radios positioned at partner agencies and hilltop antenna tower sites to provide optimal coverage. Currently all feeds are of non-encrypted channels.
Receiver/ Donor Radio
The receiver is a fixed radio/scanner with receive only capacity. These radios are installed at hilltop antenna tower sites for optimal signal strength or at certain agency headquarters. These radios feed an audio channel to our encoder
which converts it to a digital stream. These streams are encrypted before being sent to the broadcast server.
Broadcast Streaming Server
We maintain a redundant server network capable of hosting thousands of listeners at one time. Each stream from the receive radios comes into this server prior to being made available online.
Future Radio/Encryption
As more agencies switch to Digital, Trunked and Encrypted radios the ability to share those system will be up to the agency. This site was setup with the hopes of making that capability more streamlined while maintaining security.
